Harry Bailey's Transport (HBT) is a unique two man band from tiny Prophetstown IL, consisting of a real piano, a sharp drum kit and two voices. "HBT is a very different kind of band and listening experience. Although it's not SO different that it alienates the listener. It has plenty of pop appeal. If you listen to some Beatles music, for instance, a lot of it is very piano and drum driven with not a lot of guitar happening" claims bombastic drummer and vocalist Steve Morris. Joe Roman, who pummels the piano and sings says, "There are other ways to make rock music than just 2 guitars, bass, and drums! We'd like to show people that."Collectively the band works very hard to create finely crafted, melodic and powerful pop/rock compositions. Their music has been described as everything from jaunty and fun to rollicking and rocking! Fans often comment how Joe and Steve certainly have a chemistry, both in their music and their on stage antics. Understandable, they have been friends since kindergarten and have been playing and singing music together since grade school. After playing in many bands and with many top "names" over the years, 2005 brought the decision to form an eclectic duo. Since that time, HBT has played numerous shows, released their debut record "Nothing Glaring", receiving airplay on more than 200 independent and college radio stations, charted as high as number one on those stations, established publishing companies with SESAC music and signed music licenses with MTV, VH1, Lifetime and Oxygen networks. Mtv's Real World and Road Rules, and VH1's Bad Girl's Club are a few of the shows featuring HBT's music. Now in 2008, Joe and Steve are recording the much anticipated follow-up record to "Nothing Glaring". Drawing even deeper into their influences of Led Zeppelin, Prince, Ben Folds, Elton John, the funk greats, and of course The Beatles, the album promises to be another collection of fantastically funky rock n' roll! Lyrically, HBT always runs the gamut. They bring you subjects as diverse as life and death, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, girlfriends you're allergic to and vending machines stealing your money! It's always a great ride with Harry Bailey's Transport. Listen! We think you'll agree.
